Cognifyz Technologies, based in Nagpur, offers short-term internships in fields like AI, ML, data science, business analytics, mobile/web development, and more. They market these internships as industry-aligned, with certificates and some claims of stipends after an interview process.
Red Flags & Warning Signs
Interns Are Asked to Pay
According to a Reddit post in r/EngineeringStudents, Cognifyz requires a 249 Rupees fee to interview and another 149 for certificate processing-even claiming those who don’t pay face useless project assignments.
Students Call It a Scam
Reddit users say:
- If they’re asking you to pay… that’s obviously a scam… The stuff they make you do is just 4 random useless projects and call it an internship.
Glassdoor and Indeed reviews describe the internship as useless and reporting no real guidance or skill development.
LinkedIn Scam Warnings
Industry professionals on LinkedIn highlight Cognifyz among fraudulent internships, cautioning that students often pay for certificates and receive little to no real value.
No Structured Mentorship
Employee reviews on Glassdoor and AmbitionBox reveal interns faced no training – just a PDF of tasks to complete-and no meaningful mentorship.
What the Company Claims
Cognifyz insists it offers a learning experience with hands-on projects, mentorship, and even stipend eligibility after their paid interview process. Their LinkedIn profile promotes it as a launchpad to professional success in various tech domains.
Cognifyz Internship Real or Fake
Unsafe Learning Opportunity
Cognifyz internship is not a legitimate learning experience.
Charging fees for interviews and certificates, offering low-value tasks, and receiving repeated warnings from online communities show that it’s closer to a scam than a structured internship.
If you’re considering this, think twice-it’s better to pursue internships through trusted platforms, college placement cells, or open-source contributions.
