Was Kate Chastain Arrested Again? | Latest Update

Kate Chastain arrest news continues to trend online, even years after the reality TV star’s legal case first surfaced. Many fans of Below Deck still search for the details, often unsure whether the arrest was recent or part of her past. This article explains the full story and includes the latest information available.

Who is Kate Chastain?

Kate Chastain is a well-known reality TV personality who appeared on several seasons of Bravo’s hit show Below Deck. She became popular for her sharp humor, leadership as chief stewardess, and memorable on-screen moments.

Because of her public image, news about her personal life – especially legal issues – tends to spread widely.

When Was Kate Chastain Arrested?

The arrest happened in June 2016, not recently.

On June 13, 2016, Chastain was arrested in Melbourne Beach, Florida after a domestic dispute involving her then-girlfriend, Rocio Hernandez.

According to police reports:

• Hernandez arrived at work with bruises
• She accused Chastain of biting, choking, and restraining her during an argument
• Officers later arrested Chastain and charged her with domestic battery by strangulation and battery

These charges are serious, which is why the story made national headlines at the time.

What Happened After the Arrest?

She posted bond and was released

After spending a night in jail, Chastain posted a $5,000 bond and was released.

Felony charge dropped later

Prosecutors eventually dropped the felony strangulation charge.

Case resolved through a diversion program

Chastain completed a pre-trial diversion program, which often includes:

• Counseling
• No-contact rules
• Community service
• Other court-ordered requirements

After she successfully completed the program, the remaining misdemeanor charge was dismissed.

She did not go to trial and was not convicted

This is an important fact – the case ended without a criminal conviction.

Is Kate Chastain Arrested Again?

No – there is no new arrest.

Many websites recycle old stories to get clicks, which causes confusion.

As of now:

• Kate Chastain is not facing any new charges
• She is focused on motherhood and media projects
• The 2016 arrest is the only known legal case associated with her

If you see headlines claiming she was recently arrested, they are referring to the 2016 incident, not a new one.

How Did the Arrest Affect Her Career?

Even though the story resurfaced many times:

• Chastain continued appearing on Bravo shows
• Fans remained supportive
• She built a career in entertainment beyond Below Deck
