Hooters Waitress Arrested? | Viral Jacksonville Story Fact-Check

Hooters waitress arrest news has been trending online after a dramatic story claimed a server in Jacksonville, Florida dumped a full tray of hot wings on a customer who left her a Bible verse instead of a tip. The story spread quickly on Facebook and Instagram, leaving many people wondering if it really happened.

What the Viral Story Claims

According to the posts circulating on social media:

A 24-year-old Hooters waitress in Jacksonville was serving a middle-aged couple during a Sunday lunch shift. The couple allegedly:

• Stayed for over an hour
• Sent food back twice
• Asked for warmer plates
• Requested lemon refills every ten minutes

When their $66.12 bill arrived, the couple left no tip.

Instead, they wrote this on the receipt:

• You served well. God will provide. Luke 6:38.

Witnesses say the waitress became upset, walked into the kitchen, grabbed a full tray of twenty hot wings, and marched toward the couple as they stood to leave.

She reportedly shouted:

• Here’s your blessing!

Then she dumped the entire tray – sauce, grease, and all – onto the woman’s hair and blouse.

When the husband yelled at her, she allegedly replied:

• The Lord told me to give generously.

Staff tried to calm her down, but she stormed out of the restaurant, shouting:

• Tip your servers like Jesus intended!

Police officers reportedly caught up with her in the parking lot, where she told them she acted out of spiritual frustration.

Social-media posts claim she was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct.
