A viral video on Instagram and TikTok is showing a strange new gadget called the Ryobi Hover Disc or Ryobi Flying Disc. The clip claims that this device costs $139.99 at Harbor Freight and even jokes that it is getting closer to OSHA approved. But many viewers are asking an important question that Is the Ryobi Hover Disc real or fake?
Let’s break down what the video claims and what the facts say.
What the Viral Video Shows
The viral clips (shared on Instagram and TikTok) show people standing on or holding a disc-shaped device that looks like a flying hover tool. The videos claim:
- The device is made by Ryobi
- It is sold for $139.99 at Harbor Freight
- It can lift or hover with a person on it
- It is a new Hover Disc or Flying Disc product
The videos look exciting – but they also seem too good to be true.
Ryobi Hover Disc Real or Fake?
In Short the Ryobi Hover Disc is FAKE.
Here’s why:
No official Ryobi product exists
Ryobi’s official website does not list any hover disc, hoverboard-like tool, or flying device. Ryobi specialises in tools like drills, saws, blowers, sanders, and lawn equipment – not personal hover machines.
Harbor Freight is not selling it
Harbor Freight does not list any such product. The $139.99 price is part of the joke used in the viral videos.
No real model number, specs, or safety details
A real Ryobi product would have:
- A model number
- A manual
- Tech specs
- Warranty info
- Safety certifications
The viral video provides none of this.
The videos are edited for entertainment
Many creators online use effects, clever angles, and humour. This appears to be one of those fun, edited, attention-grabbing videos – not a demonstration of a real tool.
Tool community confirms it’s not real
DIY forums, tool experts, and Ryobi fans all agree that the Hover Disc is not an actual Ryobi product.
It is simply a viral joke using the Ryobi brand name.
Is Any Hover Disc Device Real?
No consumer hover disc tool like the one shown in the video is currently available from:
- Ryobi
- Harbor Freight
- Any major tool brand
The technology shown is simply not possible for a $139 disc made for home use.
Conclusion
Ryobi Hover Disc is Fake.
The viral Ryobi Hover Disc video is fun to watch, but there is no real product behind it.
It is not sold by Ryobi, not available at Harbor Freight, and not a real tool you can buy.
If you see someone claiming they bought the Ryobi Hover Disc, it is part of the joke or the video is edited.
