If you are wondering why was Jubal fired from Brooke and Jubal, you are not alone. Fans of the popular radio show were shocked when Jubal Fresh suddenly disappeared from the air in early 2020.
At first, there was no clear explanation – just reruns and silence from the station. But later, more details started to come out about why Jubal left Brooke and Jubal in the Morning and what really happened behind the scenes.
Who is Jubal Fresh?
Jubal Fresh (real name Jubal Flagg) is a well-known radio host and comedian who gained fame as one half of the hit radio show Brooke and Jubal in the Morning.
The show aired across several U.S. cities and built a huge following because of Jubal’s humor and unique prank segments like “Phone Taps.”
But in early 2020, fans noticed something strange – Jubal was missing from the show. Soon after, it was confirmed that he had been fired by the network.
Why Was Jubal Fired from Brooke and Jubal?
Official Reason from the Network
- In April 2020, Hubbard Broadcasting (the company behind the show) confirmed that Jubal was terminated.
- According to reports, the official reason cited was “inappropriate, unprofessional, offensive, and insubordinate conduct.”
However, the company did not release specific details about what happened.
Jubal’s Side of the Story
Jubal later shared that he believed the real reason was financial, not personal. He claimed that his firing happened because of budget cuts during the COVID-19 pandemic, as advertising revenue had dropped.
He said that the company wanted to cut costs and used other reasons to justify his firing.
Show Rebranding and Replacement
After Jubal’s exit, the radio program was rebranded to Brooke and Jeffrey in the Morning, with Jeffrey Dubow taking over as co-host.
Many listeners were disappointed, but the show continued under the new name and lineup.
What Happened After He Was Fired?
Jubal did not stay silent for long.
He launched his own show called “The Jubal Show”, which quickly gained popularity in several U.S. markets.
Today, The Jubal Show is syndicated across many radio stations and continues his signature style of humor, interviews, and prank calls.
Was Jubal Really Fired or Did He Quit?
There is still some debate among fans about whether Jubal was truly fired or if he decided to leave.
Officially, Hubbard Broadcasting confirmed his termination, but Jubal insists he was forced out due to company politics and financial pressure.
Either way, his departure marked the end of an era for the original Brooke and Jubal in the Morning show.
Conclusion
So, why was Jubal fired from Brooke and Jubal?
Officially, his employer said it was due to misconduct. But according to Jubal, it was really about money and company changes during tough times.
