Evidence for the Creature Being Real
Supporters of the story point to:
- Multiple social media posts repeating the same details.
- Claims that the truck had scratches or marks after the incident.

Evidence It May Be Fake
However, there are many reasons to doubt the story:

- No credible news outlet in North Carolina has confirmed the event.
- The story mainly comes from paranormal and folklore channels, not verified sources.
- There is no photo or video evidence of the creature itself.
This suggests the story may be more legend than fact.
North Carolina and Creature Sightings
While this 911 call story is likely fake, it’s not the first time unusual reports have come from North Carolina.
- In 2010, a man in Cleveland County made headlines after calling 911 about a Bigfoot-like creature near his home.
- The state is also known for the old tale of the Beast of Bladenboro, a mysterious animal blamed for livestock attacks in the 1950s.
