Lately, TikTok and Instagram have been filled with videos about the so-called Anthropologie rock being sold for hundreds or even $1,000. This has left many people asking whether the Anthropologie rock real or fake? Let’s break it down.
How the Anthropologie Rock Trend Started
The trend began when TikToker Phoebe Adams posted a prank video. She showed her boyfriend a plain rock, claiming it was from Anthropologie and cost \$150. The video went viral, and soon many others started making similar prank videos with the same idea.
As the trend spread, people believed Anthropologie might actually be selling expensive rocks. Even funnier, Anthropologie joined the joke and posted about a “Rock Collection” in their store, complete with a $1,000 price tag.
Is the Anthropologie Rock Real or Fake?
The short answer is No, Anthropologie Rock is not real.
- There is no official product listing for a $1,000 rock on Anthropologie’s website.
- The viral videos are pranks, not real purchases.
- Anthropologie’s own posts were made in good humor to join the online joke, not to promote a real product.
Why People Thought It Could Be Real
Even though it’s fake, many people believed it at first. Here’s why:
- Anthropologie is known for selling unique and quirky home décor, often at high prices.
- The prank looked believable because of the store’s existing reputation.
- The reactions in the prank videos made it seem convincing and entertaining.
Conclusion
If you’re wondering whether the Anthropologie rock is real or fake, the answer is clear:
- It is fake. The “$1,000 rock” is a viral prank and part of a funny online trend. Anthropologie even played along, but it’s not an actual product for sale.
The Anthropologie rock may not be real, but it shows how quickly a fun TikTok prank can turn into a viral story. While you won’t find a $1,000 rock at Anthropologie, the brand’s playful response has only fueled the joke further.
So next time you see a video asking if the Anthropologie rock is real or fake, you’ll know the truth – it is all just for laughs.
