Submarine Myrtle Beach Real or Fake | Latest News

Recently, videos on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook have shown what appears to be a submarine surfacing just off Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, right near 7th Avenue. Dramatic footage shows lifeguards, police, and even Coast Guard units clearing swimmers from the water once the submarine is spotted.

Submarine Myrtle Beach Real or Fake

As of now, this appears to be a hoax or exaggerated event.

There is no confirmed military or Coast Guard operation involving a submarine near Myrtle Beach.

• No official confirmation: Neither the Coast Guard nor Myrtle Beach authorities have released statements confirming the submarine’s identity or purpose.
• No news coverage: Mainstream media outlets have yet to pick up the story, suggesting no verified information is yet available.

Why the Hoax Possibilities?

• Trendy visuals paired with dramatic audio are easy to fabricate, especially for views and virality.
• Old or stock footage of military subs could be edited into new, misleading contexts.
• Without official logos or vessel identification, verifying legitimacy is tough.

What You Can Do If You are At Myrtle Beach

1. Trust official sources – Follow updates from Myrtle Beach PD or the U.S. Coast Guard if they release statements.
2. Observe safety protocols – If lifeguards or police clear the area, follow their instructions without hesitation.
3. Record details – If you safely record the footage, note the time, location, and any markings on the vessel.
4. Look for official photos – Military or Coast Guard vessels usually have visible identifiers or flags.

Conclusion

• There’s real video footage of something surfacing and authorities reacting.
• But with no official info, it’s unclear if it’s a genuine military operation, harmless publicity event, or viral hoax.

Until we see confirmation from Coast Guard or law enforcement, treat these clips as unverified – and possibly misleading.
