The Baahubali film series has been a massive success in Indian cinema, breaking records and captivating audiences worldwide. After the phenomenal success of Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017), fans have been eagerly asking whether Bahubali 3 is real or fake?
Will there be another chapter in this epic saga, or are the viral posters and trailers just fan-made hype?
In this article, we uncover the truth behind Bahubali 3, examining official announcements, viral rumors, and what you can actually expect.
What Is Bahubali 3?
Baahubali is a historical action drama directed by S.S. Rajamouli, starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia. It became a global sensation for its grand visuals, emotional storytelling, and powerful characters.
After Baahubali 2: The Conclusion revealed the secret of ‘Why Kattappa killed Baahubali,’ fans have been hoping for a third part a possible Bahubali 3 that continues the story or offers a spin-off.
Bahubali 3 Real or Fake
Let’s answer the big question directly:
- Bahubali 3 is currently NOT confirmed as a real movie in production. Any posters, trailers, or release dates circulating online are FAKE or FAN-MADE.
There is no official announcement from director S.S. Rajamouli, the production house (Arka Media Works), or lead actors confirming Bahubali 3 as an upcoming movie. Most viral images and videos claiming ‘Bahubali 3 coming soon’ are made by fans using AI, deepfake, or editing tools.
Origins of the Bahubali 3 Rumors
The speculation around Bahubali 3 started shortly after the release of Baahubali 2, when director Rajamouli hinted that the Baahubali universe could be expanded. However, he never confirmed a third movie as a direct sequel.
Key Timeline:
- 2017 : Rajamouli said “Baahubali 3 might happen, but not immediately.” This sparked massive fan excitement.
- 2018 – 2023 : Fake posters and YouTube trailers began circulating, claiming Bahubali 3 is coming soon.
- 2024 – 2025 : AI-generated videos and viral Instagram reels have made many believe that Bahubali 3 is real – but these are not from official sources.
What the Makers Said About Bahubali 3
Here’s what the director and production team have said:
- We created a huge world of Mahishmati. There is a lot of potential to explore, but Baahubali’s story is complete. If something new has to come, it will be from that universe, not a direct sequel. – S.S. Rajamouli, in various media interviews
This means that while Baahubali 3 as a continuation of Amarendra and Mahendra Baahubali’s story is unlikely, there could be spin-offs, prequels, or web series based on the Mahishmati world.
Is There a Bahubali Series or Spin-off?
Yes. While Bahubali 3 is fake for now, the Baahubali franchise has been expanded in other formats:
- Baahubali: The Lost Legends – An animated series on Amazon Prime Video.
- Baahubali: Before the Beginning – A Netflix live-action prequel series (based on the novel The Rise of Sivagami), though production has faced delays.
- Comics, novels, and mobile games – Offering deeper insights into side characters and stories.
These spin – offs are real and officially part of the Baahubali universe.
Conclusion
As of now, Bahubali 3 news is fake.
There is no real confirmation or ongoing production of a third Baahubali movie. All current trailers and posters online are fan-made or fake.
That said, the Baahubali universe is not over. The creators are exploring web series and spin-off content, so fans can still look forward to stories from Mahishmati – just not Baahubali 3 as a direct sequel.
