A viral post titled “Unholy Pride” has taken over social media, claiming that a young male lion was exiled from his pride and later formed an alliance with hyenas. The story sounds like something out of a movie – but is it true? Let’s find out whether the Unholy Pride is real or fake.
According to posts shared on Facebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter), the story goes like this:
A lone lion, after being cast out by his pride, begins to raise and lead a group of hyenas. Together, they hunt and protect each other, forming a new and terrifying alliance known as the “Unholy Pride.”
These posts quickly gained millions of views, leaving many wondering – could such an alliance really happen?
After reviewing the viral videos and posts, here’s what the evidence shows:
The original creator on Instagram mentioned that the video was not real and was made using AI tools. The animals were digitally animated to look realistic.
There are no official wildlife studies, documentaries, or credible reports showing lions and hyenas forming a pride together. In nature, they are rivals – not allies.
In the wild, these two species often fight over territory and food. A lion raising hyenas or leading them is biologically impossible.
Many social media creators now use AI tools to create fake animal videos that look real. The “Unholy Pride” story is one of those creative examples that went viral.
Unholy Pride is Fake
After checking multiple sources and expert opinions, the answer is clear – The Unholy Pride is fake.
It is an AI-generated fictional story, not a real wildlife event. While it’s an exciting idea, there’s no truth behind the claim that lions and hyenas have joined forces in Africa.
The video looked real, and the story was emotionally powerful. Social media algorithms often promote such dramatic posts because they get more reactions, shares, and comments. However, it’s always important to verify animal videos before believing or reposting them.
So, is the Unholy Pride real or fake?
