Miami Dolphins Head Coach Fired? | Mike McDaniel’s Job Status

The Miami Dolphins have had a tough start to the 2025 NFL season, losing their first three games. After the latest loss to the Buffalo Bills, fans are angry and some have even called for head coach Mike McDaniel to be fired.

Social media has been buzzing with the phrase Miami Dolphins head coach fired, and some fans even displayed protest banners demanding changes.

Has the Dolphins Head Coach Been Fired?

The short answer is no.

As of now, Mike McDaniel has not been fired. Team owner Stephen Ross still supports him. In fact, Ross recently said he wants McDaniel to succeed and believes in his long-term vision for the team.

McDaniel also received a contract extension last year, which makes an immediate firing less likely.

Why Fans Want McDaniel Fired

Many fans are frustrated with:

• The team’s 0-3 start to the season.
• Concerns about game strategies and lack of adjustments.
• Disappointment after high preseason expectations.

What Could Change Things?

Even though Ross is backing McDaniel for now, a few things could put his job at risk:

1. More Losses – If the losing streak continues, pressure will grow.
2. Locker Room Morale – If players stop supporting their coach, that’s a big warning sign.
3. Fan Protests – Low attendance or ongoing protests could push ownership to act.

Conclusion

So, is the Miami Dolphins head coach fired?

No, Mike McDaniel is still the head coach, and ownership is standing by him despite fan frustration. However, the next few weeks of the season will be crucial. Continued losses could change the situation quickly.
